CHICA ENVIDIOSA

Seething with hate and frustration, Envidiosa heads for the door of Pocket D.She is fuming with hatred and mal contempt for Rosita...this year's Banda Queen. Everyone watches her storm off shouting how "it was rigged" or "unfair" that she got the boot at the last minute. She hadn't cheated.

Chica had been dancing since she was young. Her mother had always listened to the old ranchera music from Mexico...where she had been born. Nothing really made her mom happier than to dance and hear music; it was soothing to her.As a teen Chica learned to dance with her mom in their kitchen, picking up the different rhythm's as her mom chopped onions, or waited for the beans to boil. Her dad would enter the kitchen, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. "He'sa huero, what does he know of dancing!" was what her mother would always say. Chica never did get to see her dad dance, on occasion she had heard him whistling, which was pretty much the extent of his love of music.

As a teen, Chica learned to dance Salsa, Flamenco and Tango. She insisted on dance lessons, and her mother obliged. When she was comfortable she began to enter competitions. It wasn't long before dancing turned profitable. Winning competitions and teaching dance classes was how she earned her income. Like her mom, she loved to dance; but she wanted to knowmore and learn more.

The love her life, Nacho aka Francisco, was also a dancer. He enjoyed music and dancing just as much as Chica. When they danced, it was like lovemaking...for Nacho anyway. Chica always remained professional...the more intense the dance the more she thought of winning. She loved him, but she loved the sport more. To her it was what made her soul happy.

THE PRIESTESS CALLS...LIKE THE LULLING OF MOTHS TO A FIRE, HER SOUL CARETAKERS COME TO HER CORPSE. DESSICATED AND EMPTY, YET FULLOF FIRE. IT IS AN ETERNAL BURDEN FOR HER CARETAKERS...THOSE THAT HOLD THE PIECES OF THE SHARD.

Learn Chica Spanish:

Rancheras: type of "old school" music of mexico
Salsa: Shake what ya mama gave ya music
Huero: white male

[Chica Envidiosa is a member of the Darkwing Brigade, though she was just another Chica at first. What is funny is that her story comes from the costume. It was that darn Cowboy hat!! hehe it just reminded me of Sabado Gigante for some reason! so I rolled with it...hope u enjoy her stories=) ]

Jeez girl, I get home from work determined to write up a follow up to your story and what do I see..., another one popped up. :)

Good to see you in writing mode, I like the spanish translation touches at the end. I think this one is your best one yet, as far as writing technique goes.

Keep up the good work!
